Problem

Stakeholder needed a logo for a startup business for lifestyle coaching. He also needed a landing page site as well as integrate SamCart, a third party payment processing platform.

Solution

Initial meeting with the stakeholder revealed what his preferences for a logo would be and we collaborated to achieve the final design.

Logo Creation Process

The stakeholder wanted to portray bravery and courage. During research, it was concluded that the bear would be best suited to portray these characteristics. The stakeholder also wanted to incorporate some sort of mountain notch which I tried to do but failed creatively. I then continued my research for inspirational mountain logos and came up with the final version which the stakeholder then approved.

The stakeholder also wanted a deep red to be incorporated in the logo and we both agreed that the hex code #991010 would be the best variation of red.

Web Design

Following a one-page landing page layout, the design below was achieved. The sales copy were already provided by the stakeholder and with minor editing and revision, a profitable landing page was achieved. DNS errors would take place and upon further inspection, it was concluded that SamCart platform integration was the cause. Resetting the DNS servers and IP proxies solved the issue.

Book Cover Creation

I designed 3 variations for a book cover and collaborated with the stakeholder for the final design.

Final design was approved by the stakeholder which was used to send free ebooks to new users.

Marketing Materials

A separate photo day was then scheduled to be used for the main website and social ads.

A filming day was then scheduled to film the promo video for the Courage Gap and was edited shortly after resulting in this 10min. video.

Final thoughts

Solving the DNS and proxy issues proved to be very problematic and spanned over the course of 2 days. The fault was found within the SamCart platform which is a 3rd party payment platform such as Klana and AfterPay. Collaborating with SamCart’s tech support proved to be an issue as well as their support headquarters were based in India. Between the language barrier and time difference, practicing tremendous amount of patience really paved the way for solving the issues.
